Kate is dual registered with the Kennel Club and the International Sheep Dog Society
Kate made a very promising start to her show career qualifying for Crufts in a minor puppy class at Blackpool Championship show in 2004 under the late Tony Holliday. Just a few weeks later at Windsor Ch Sh a tremendous thunder storm and a very inconsiderate photographer using flash at the same time ended her show career – scaring her and reducing her to a quivering wreck in the ring – despite my best efforts, and that of friends, I decided to retire her from the ring after Crufts 2005 – at just 18 months! Never a good traveller Kate is far happier at home as a very loyal companion to both me and her mother Skye.
Kate had a litter of 6 puppies in April 2008, 4 black and white and 2 tri colour, and her daughter Lucy is staying here and will in due course be attempting a little sheep work.
